Welcoming Universities Summit

October 22 @ 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

$90

Welcoming Universities is very excited to present the first Welcoming Universities Summit in October 2024 at UTS Ultimo Campus. This special event is a chance to bring together representatives from Welcoming Universities member institutions across the country, as well as connections from other universities and higher education providers, and other individuals and organisations which intersect with this space.

The theme for this year’s summit is: From Small Beginnings – building welcoming in Australian universities.

The keynote speaker for the inaugural event is Associate Professor Kathomi Gatwiri and the day will continue with an insightful panel discussion about the welcoming and inclusion work happening on the ground within Australian universities, and in the afternoon the group will come together for round table discussions and workshop sessions exploring different approaches and ideas to build welcoming, inclusion and belonging within Australian universities.

We will have delicious catering from Plate It Forward, and lots of opportunities for conversation and the creation of connections throughout the day.

Places are strictly limited (50 people maximum), for this curated, intimate summit.
